ABOUT

DON’T KNOW MUCH ABOUT HISTORY? WE DO – AND HERE’S OURS.

Echo Etching began in the early 1980s as an offshoot of an existing stained glass business. When Echo’s founder was looking to enhance certain bright glass areas of stained glass windows, he came across the photoresist process as a way to do just that.

Once there was an opportunity to explore the potential, the original owners sought to expand on the capabilities of creating a mask photographically. They could see that projects like awards and signage — and decorative pieces — could be made given the right mix of art and technology.

In 1991, Grand River Interiors, Inc. bought the assets of Echo Etching and hired the owners as employees. Soon after that, an active professional sales function was brought on board to spread the word and find clients and projects — primarily within the Architectural industry. In the ensuing years, additional skilled craftsmen and design professionals were added to the staff.

As word spread of our unique talents and creations, our marketplace opened to numerous demands within Hospitals, Universities, Athletic facilities and, Churches — all demanding the unique natural beauty that Echo Etching’s premium glass creations deliver.

Today we see an ever-increasing demand for the custom decorative techniques Echo is known for as designers and clients require the very highest in creativity and quality — Echo Etching glass, there is no substitute!
